Roman Ivanov, a passionate skateboarder and filmer, visited Tbilisi and fell in love with the city. He later returned to help build the first-ever proper skatepark in the historical center. His love for skateboarding and filming inspired a full-length video project, featuring skateboarding talent from various backgrounds. The Impact of the Pandemic and Recovery
Unfortunately, the pandemic interrupted plans to return to Tbilisi. Roman Ivanov got injured and spent time in the hospital, observing the changing world around him. He continued to nurture the hope of returning to Tbilisi as he recovered. Eventually, the opportunity came when he was offered the chance to join a skatepark construction project in the city.
The construction project brought together a group of talented individuals, including Dmitry Kononov, a filmmaker. With their shared passion for skateboarding and love for Tbilisi, they embarked on creating the Puri video project. The video aimed to expose a different side of Tbilisi and celebrate the local skate scene.
A Message of Gratitude and Unity
The video project became a bonding experience for the skaters involved, as they found themselves in a challenging time.
